On February 6, 2023, at approximately 10:43 p.m., Deputies working the C-District conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that had turned onto Buxton Back Road from N.C. Highway 12.
During the traffic stop a DCSO K-9 was deployed and alerted to the presence of a controlled substance. The vehicle was searched, and an amount of Methamphetamine and Cocaine were located and seized.
Brittany Hope Byrd, F/33, Buxton, NC, was charged with the following and released on a $2,500 secured bond. (F) Possession of Cocaine, (F) Possession of Methamphetamine, (M) Maintaining a Vehicle, (M) Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Expired Registration.
