After an undefeated conference season, the Cape Hatteras Secondary School’s Lady Canes girls’ basketball team will host the first round of the 2023 Conference Tournament against the Mattamuskeet Lakers on Tuesday, February 14, at 5:00 p.m. in Buxton.
The Lady Canes clinched their undefeated 1A Conference 1 record on Thursday, February 9, after another game against Swan Quarter’s Mattamuskeet Lakers with a 65-14 victory. The Lakers go into Tuesday’s upcoming game with a 1-7 conference record against the Lady Canes’ 8-0 conference wins. (The Canes’ overall record is 12-8.)
The public is invited to come out and cheer for the Canes in their first Conference Tournament game, and the game will also be streamed live on the NFHS Network for folks who are unable to attend in person.
